My last InRoads SELECTseries 2 classes.  What a disillusioning re-immersion to old software!  I built a career around InRoads.  It was great, but the idea that you can't trust the graphics and there are two incomplete semi-complimentary proprietary binary formats...   Ack!

At the beginning of my first 3 days there, the Program Manager said "We will NOT be moving to the new OpenRoads platform for at least two years."

At the end of my first stay, she announced "We will be moving to the new software as soon as possible.  Perhaps as early as three months from now."

Kudos to the folks there who were using the old bad three-format (graphics, surface, and geometry) method to do ADA curb ramps.  A great example of maximizing the efficiency of a really crippled platform.  OpenRoads: 1 format = much easier.
