Okay, this is just a temporary lark.
I popped into LinkedIn and Simon Sinek says "everyone is listing themselves by their Role - not who they really are."
Okay, I'll go with that.
I am a Meaning Explorer.
Star Trek (TOS) was my favorite TV when I was four and five years old.
That's what I wanted: to explore the wonders of the universe.
I even went so far as to attend a Military Academy when I realized "Maybe 'Astronaut' could happen..."
It became clear that me in space was statistically unlikely and I liked flying gliders as much as powered aircraft (maybe I'd have enjoyed the F-16B flight more had I had more than a few seconds of stick time).
I'm also not big on voluntary deprivation - which is a big part of being a pioneer or explorer of any frontier. Some people are not happy unless they are miserable. I am not one of those people.
That urge to explore, to experience, to know, never went away.
How could it?
If you understand how insanely improbable it is to be alive and aware in this inconceivably vast and ancient universe... That we have a fleeting moment to look around and absorb, to try to appreciate, to understand, to wonder at it all... NASA is searching the universe for the miracle of microbes, of radio signals - success will transform our understanding of the universe and our place in it. And yet we're surrounded by inconceivable miracles every day, nearly every moment. Just cause there are billions of them doesn't negate the miracle.

Our time is finite, mine is a flash. I can only count on this brief visit. My only opportunity. How do I make the most of this spawn-in? What is the most meaningful way to spend this fleeting spark of awareness?
How do I make the most of my time?
I have to work - what's the most meaningful way I can spend my work time?
I have always been pre-occupied with these questions.
I'm glad.
Because we should never take any of these moments for granted.
