This is where the bulk of my value lies: changing how people think and work.
I'm used to showing up at companies and agencies and helping them move forward.
The easiest organizations are those that are clear on their vision and are already knowledgeable in the details of what they need to Get to the Next Level. If they're internal leadership is clear, it's pretty much matching tools to needs, aligning settings, and training the staff to a self-sustaining competency.
The most difficult are those lack leadership and expertise internally and are "moving forward" only something big is now broken.
Aligning Vision with the Leadership is Priority One. A close second is Educating the Staff and then hearing their concerns and objections. Next: providing solutions to concerns and identifying gaps in needs.
Words matter. It's interesting to see how changing vocabulary changes minds. Buzzwords get a bad rap, but if their meaning is understood, they can change a culture.
Relationships matter. Aligned Vision makes relationships easy.
One of my favorite Transformations: Oklahoma DOT - moving them from the 63-level MicroStation/J to MicroStation v8.
